Detroit Man Pleads Guilty To Heroin Distribution
{Huntington, West Virginia}...Demetrius Deshawn Garrett, 25, of Detroit, pleaded guilty Tuesday to selling two grams of heroin to a confidential informant in Huntington on Sept. 22, 2011. In October 2011, the Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a search at a residence and recovered 147 40-milligram oxymorphone pills, 84 30-milligram oxymorphone pills and 18 20-milligram oxymorphone pills. Garrett admitted he and other individuals sold heroin and pills that had been stored at the residence. Garrett faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when sentenced on April 23rd.
