Wayne County Man Convicted Of Murder

{Wayne, West Virginia}...After deliberating 25 to 30 minutes Thursday morning, a Wayne County jury convicted Clinton Skeens of first degree murder. Skeens fatally stabbed former Wayne High School football coach Jess "Scott" Jarrell in Jarrell's home near Wayne on New Year's Eve 2010. Skeens admitted he killed Jarrell, but blamed it on his bipolar condition and a lack of medication. He testified he was hallucinating and hearing voices in his head telling him to kill Jarrell because he was working with the CIA to harm Skeens’ family. Wayne County Prosecutor Tom Plymale says the defense was weak, and the jury didn't give it credibility. Skeens will spend the rest of his life in prison with no chance of parole.
