State Executive Coordinator Charged With Aggravated DUI
{West Virginia}Police arrested Donna Maria Lipscomb, the executive coordinator of the state Department of Administration. Thursday morning and charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol. Officers approached Lipscomb after stopping her vehicle along Interstate 77, and they say they could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath. Officers say Lipscomb told them she had consumed alcohol prior to being stopped. Lipscomb failed three field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test. She was taken to the Charleston Police station, where she was given secondary chemical tests. Police say she registered a blood-alcohol content of .174, more than twice the legal limit in West Virginia. Lipscomb was charged with aggravated DUI.
