Six Arrested For Copper Theft

  • {West Virginia}...Tuesday, West Virginia State Police troopers from Logan, Gilbert and Parkersburg arrested six people, charging each with five separate charges related to copper theft. Walter Wolford Jr., 25, Ladonna Brumfield, 37, Felisha Wolford, 23, Joshua Walls, 27 and Sheridan Bartram, 26, were all arrested Tuesday morning in the Davin area of Logan County. Jody Bartram, 30, was arrested in Parkersburg.
Troopers are still looking for Cecil Bartram, 29, and James Lester, 36. An investigation into Frontier Communications copper theft and resale resulted in the arrests. Each individual was charged with 14 counts of grand larceny, 14 counts of transferring and receiving stolen property, 14 counts of destruction of property, 14 counts of destruction of public utility property and 14 counts of conspiracy.
