Valley High Football Players Have Viral Meningitis

{West Virginia}...Authorities at Valley High School in Smithers told parents at the Fayette County school Thursday evening that two football players at the school have viral meningitis. The two students who have meningitis have been taken out of classes, as well as several other football players. The school has approximately 150 students. Meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord. It is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection.
