{Beckley, West Virginia}...Boy Scouts of America subsidiary Arrow West Virginia Inc. has purchase hundreds of acres of land in Fayette County, including the 259-acre Whittaker property, which was owned by the former wife of record Powerball winner Jack Whittaker and adjacent lots totaling 526 acres. The Boy Scouts says it intends to use the land for additional parking near The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, which will host the 2013 Boy Scout National Jamboree. The 10 day summer event is expected to draw some 50,000 scouts and another 200,000 tourists.
