South Charleston Man Arrested
{West Virginia}...Forty-eight year old Gary Hinzman of South Charleston was arrested Friday afternoon after police say he caused an accident while driving drunk on MacCorkle Avenue in St. Albans and then attempted to flee from police. Police say he lost control of his car and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him, causing that car to rear-end another car. Hinzman then got out of his car and ran away, but officers caught him a few blocks from the scene of the accident. Police say Hinzman submitted to a breath test and the result was .143%. Hinzman's license had already been revoked for DUI, and this is the second time he was caught driving with a revoked license. Hinzman is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, obstructing by fleeing, 2nd offense DUI and 2nd offense driving on a revoked license.
