Couple Charged In New Year's Day Murder

• {Cottle, West Virginia}...Nicholas County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a New Year's Day murder. Deputies say Phillip "PJ" Payne, 28, of Camden-on-Gauley, shot 42 year old Jodie Jenkins of Cottle about 3:30 P.M. Sunday after an argument. Jenkins later died from his injuries. Payne has been arrested and charged with murder. His girlfriend, 38 year old Sonya Hice, also of Camden-on-Gauley, has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact for murder.
