{Pruntytown, West Virginia}...The Division of Corrections' Special Operations Unit captured 49 year old Matthew Stewart Wade of Beckley without incident late Monday night after he escaped from the Pruntytown Correctional Center Saturday night. Wade was captured in Harrison County and returned to Pruntytown in Taylor County, but he was transferred back to the Mount Olive Correctional Complex Tuesday. Raleigh County Prosecutor Kristen Keller said Wade had threatened to kill one of her assistant prosecutors, so she was stunned to learn he'd been classified as a minimum-security inmate and placed somewhere he could easily leave. Wade was serving a four to 25 year sentence for solicitation of first-degree murder and threats of retaliation against a public official in a 2009 case. He was transferred to Pruntytown and placed in a dormitory-style, non-secure unit on April 26th.
