Wayne County Murder Trial Underway

{Wayne, West Virginia}...A high-profile murder trial got underway in Wayne County Monday. Prosecutors say 53 year old Clinton Skeens of Huntington killed former Wayne High School football coach 73 year old Jess "Scott" Jarrell on December 31, 2010. Prosecutors say Skeens went door-to-door in the Wayne community looking for where Jarrell lived, and, when he found him, he stabbed Jarrell 43 times. A motive for the killing has never been revealed. During opening statements, the prosecution said, after killing Jarrell and before leaving the home, Skeens treated himself to chili and ice cream in Jarrell's kitchen then went to Salt Rock and bought a lottery ticket.
