Argus Energy Sued Over Selenium At Mingo County Mine

{West Virginia}...The Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition, the West Virginia Highlands Conservancy and the Sierra Club filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Argus Energy over selenium at a surface mine in Mingo County. The federal lawsuit claims Argus has violated limits on selenium discharges into waterways at its Copley Trace No. 2 mine. The groups say the state Department of Environmental Protection hasn't pursued an enforcement lawsuit that it filed against Argus earlier this year, and the groups are asking the U.S. District Court to enforce the discharge limits.
