Mason County Sheriff Indicted

{Point Pleasant, West Virginia}...A Mason County Grand Jury has returned a 42 counts indictment against Sheriff David Anthony, 42, from Point Pleasant, including charges of wanton endangerment, child neglect creating risk of injury, domestic assault, embezzlement and unauthorized use of a government purchasing card. Deputies say, in November, Anthony was drunk when he fired a gun over the head of his 13 year old son. Anthony was later arrested in Putnam County and has since been ordered to a 90 day stay at a rehabilitation facility in Virginia. According to the indictment, Anthony used $2435 worth of money belonging to the county for his own personal use. The Mason County Commission has started taking steps to remove Anthony from office.
