{Charleston, West Virginia}...Derek James Bailey, 23, of Elkview, was charged with malicious wounding after deputies say he stabbed Keary Drake in the stomach about 3:30 P.M. Thursday. Deputies say Drake told them he was helping his niece move out of Bailey's residence on Rutledge Road when Bailey made a remark about his niece, and he and Bailey became involved in a heated argument. Drake told sheriff’s deputies he punched Bailey, and, during the fight, Bailey grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. Drake was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
