Jonathan Douglas Butts, 40, of Romance, in Jackson County, has pleaded guilty to incest and is the second person in his family to admit to sexually abusing the same victim. Butts was indicted by a grand jury last year on 14 felony counts of sexual abuse, sexual assault and incest. Butts faces a possible 5 to 15 years in prison, followed by a possible 50 years additional supervision and will be required to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life. He will be sentenced September 26th. His brother, Frederick Thomas Butts, was arrested in January 2011 and was later indicted by a grand jury on 274 counts of sexual abuse and sexual assault involving the same victim. He pleaded guilty to 22 of those charges and is serving a 20-50 year prison sentence.
