{Birch River, West Virginia}...Police in Nicholas County say James Edward Lawson was driving northbound on U.S. Route 19 near the Powell's Mountain Overlook in the Birch River area around 9:30 P.M. Saturday night when his vehicle apparently hit a guardrail. Lawson was transported to Summerville Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
