Woman Pleads Guilty To Embezzlement

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Terry Workman, 44, of Hurricane, has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly $400,000 from Charleston law firm Bucci, Bailey & Javins. Workman was employed as office manager at the company's Hale Street office for seven years before being terminated in 2010. She was charged with 13 counts of embezzlement and was recently indicted on all counts, but she entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors, admitting guilt for six counts. Workman said she wrote checks to herself in the amount of $800 to $1,200 at first, beginning in 2004. She also said she used the company's credit card for personal purchases of $60,00 to $70,000. Workman will be sentenced September 25th and could spend six to 60 years in prison. As part of her plea agreement, Workman will be required to pay the money back.
