Virginia Accident Kills West Virginia Residents

{Wytheville, Virginia}...Three McDowell County, West Virginia residents were killed and five others were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Route 21 in Wythe County in southwestern Virginia Saturday morning. Virginia State Police say 52 year old Florence J. Braxton of North Fork and 30 year old Taurean A. Walker and 59 year old Rufus S. Jones, both of Eckman, were in a minivan that was struck head-on by a northbound pickup truck that crossed into the southbound lane after it sideswiped a sport-utility vehicle. Braxton, Walker and Jones all died. Three passengers in the van and one in the SUV were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The pickup driver, 32 year old John C. Parker of Jackson, Mississippi was hospitalized with serious injuries. He's charged with reckless driving.
