South Charleston Man Posts Bail
{West Virginia}...Daniel Hicks, 38, of South Charleston, posted bail Thursday after Kanawha County Magistrate Tim Halloran reduced the bail amount from $150,000 to $20,000 surety after Hicks waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Hicks is accused of luring more than 20 athletes to the area under the impression that they would be attending a prep school at the beginning of September. South Charleston city officials discovered the athletes in a small apartment sleeping on the floor. The case has been bound over to the grand jury. Hicks has been in jail since September 8th for violating the terms of his parole after serving time in jail for a January 2010 drug conviction in Putnam County.
