Bond Reduction Denied For Jackson County Man

{Ripley, West Virginia}...Peter Lizon, 37, of Leroy, appeared in court Friday seeking a bond reduction after being arrested last month on a charge of malicious wounding. Jackson County Deputies say he kept his wife Stephanie chained up for 10 years while he beat and tortured her. Stephanie also allegedly delivered a stillborn child while in chains. Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Thomas C. Evans denied Lizon's request because he says Lizon is a flight risk, doesn't have the means to post bond and is likely to commit another crime. He also cited the seriousness of the allegations as another reason for the denial. Lizon's wife Stephanie testified at his preliminary hearing and said the accusation that she was beaten and held captive are untrue. Lizon remains in jail on a $300,000 bond.
