Hurricane Inns Shut Down

{Hurricane, West Virginia}...The American Inn and the Budget Inn, both in Hurricane, were shut down Tuesday by the city of Hurricane and the Putnam County Health Department. Hurricane Mayor Scott Edwards says the owner, Navnit Sangani, was cited for bed bugs, mold, unsanitary conditions, structural problems and ventilation issues. In March, a routine inspection of the motels found several electrical and fire code violations. The inspector reported he found holes in pipes connected to the hot water tanks that could have allowed carbon monoxide to leak through those pipes that connect to each room. Edwards says Sangani cannot reopen the motels until all the problems are fixed.
