Clay County Man Acquitted Of Murder

  • {West Virginia}...Following more than five hours of deliberations, a Clay County jury acquitted Bobby Hanshaw of murder Friday afternoon. Prosecutors say Hanshaw fatally shot Guy Dwier of Procious in May over a stolen ATV, but Hanshaw testified Thursday the shooting was in self-defense. He told the jury he thought Dwier was coming at him with a gun. It was a crowbar. Assistant Clay County Prosecutor Danny Dotson says the jury obviously believed Hanshaw was in fear at the time that he shot Dwier.
