Man Sentenced In Beating Death

{West Virginia}...In July, Dwain Foster entered a Kennedy plea to unlawful wounding in connection with the beating death of 22 year old Jeremy Cook. Cook, who was from Hurricane, was found beaten and unconscious in an alley behind a Huntington nightclub in May 2010. He died several days later at a hospital in Huntington. Thursday, Judge Paul Farrell sentenced Foster to one to five years in prison with time served. Foster has already spent a year in jail which makes him eligible for parole now. Judge Farrell said he is going to make a recommendation to the parole board that Foster have to serve two more years before being eligible for parole. In July, Clyde Cooper, entered a Kennedy Plea to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Last month, Rhamel Hatcher, of South Point, Ohio, was indicted for murder. According to that indictment, Hatcher picked up Cook and slammed him to the ground, causing his head to strike the ground.
