Boone County Woman Arrested

{West Virginia}...Devine Jackson, 21, of Madison, in Boone County, was arrested Tuesday and charged with driving under the influence causing bodily injury and driving without an operator's license in connection with an August 15th crash. Police say Jackson was driving along W.Va. 17 near Madison when she lost control, ran off the roadway, struck a power pole and went over an embankment. Her passenger, Derek Sutphin, 31, was transported to CAMC General Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Family members say Sutphin uses a ventilator to breathe and is paralyzed from the shoulders down. He was not wearing a seatbelt and became pinned under the car's dashboard during the crash.
