Hospital To Become Dormitory For Potomac State College
{West Virginia}...Friday, the West Virginia University Board of Governors approved the acquisition and renovation of the former Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser which will soon become a dormitory for Potomac State College students. The university is paying $600,000 for the property, which includes a parking lot and two structures totaling about 44,000 square feet on three acres. Potomac State College, a division of WVU, plans to renovate the upper two floors of the main building to meet housing needs for approximately 50 students. The estimated completion date is August 2012. Commercial space will be maintained on the main floor, and businesses currently at those locations will have the opportunity to remain in the building.
