Criminal Charges Against Marshall Player Dropped
- {West Virginia}...Marshall University football coach Doc Holliday reinstated Troy Evans Friday morning after Huntington Police and Cabell County prosecutors dropped criminal charges filed charging him with four counts of armed robbery. Police say four people were robbed in the early morning hours of August 28th on Sixth Avenue. Police say the charges have been dropped because Evans produced seven alibi witnesses but investigators also say Evans was not truthful during his initial interviews with police about where he was when the crimes occurred. Cabell County Prosecutor Chris Chiles says surveillance video from a convenience store put Evans in the area. Chiles says that along with Evans initial interview was enough to arrest him. He was arrested August 31st and was indefinitely suspended from the football team.
