Early Gubernatorial Voting Begins

  • {West Virginia}...Early voting started Wednesday morning in West Virginia's special gubernatorial election which is slated for October 4th. Acting Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, a Democrat, is facing Republican Bill Maloney, the Mountain Party's Bob Henry Baber, Constitution Party's Phil Hudok and Independent Marla Ingels. The winner will take office immediately and serve for the rest of former Governor Joe Manchin's regular term, which ends in January 2012. Early voting will run until October 1st. Voters can cast their ballots early in the Voters Registration office from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Early voting will be open from 8:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursdays and from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Saturdays.
