{Charleston, West Virginia}...Kristen Vieweg was sworn in Monday afternoon by Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Duke Bloom as a replacement for Magistrate Judge Carol Fouty who has resigned after being accused of several ethics charges. Fouty has been suspended without pay since April. Vieweg has worked five years as a magistrate assistant for Fouty. She is an attorney and has a degree in elementary education. Vieweg will fill the position for the remainder of the term, five months. After that, she says she will not seek election to the office, instead, she plans to become a teacher. She recently received her teaching certification. Fouty is scheduled for a hearing before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Wednesday.
