Former State Senator To Run For U.S. House

• {West Virginia}...Morgantown Democrat Mike Oliverio, who formerly served as state Senator, announced Tuesday that he plans to run for the U.S. House seat in 2012. Oliverio narrowly lost the race, by less than 1 percent, in 2010 to now Congressman David McKinley of Wheeling. Oliverio served 18 years in the Legislature. McKinley had been a legislator for 14 years in the 1980s and 1990s. The official 2012 candidate filing period does not start until January 9th.
