{West Virginia}...The West Virginia Broadcasters Association is holding an hour-long debate at 7:00 P.M. on September 13th. Slated to appear are Republican Bill Maloney and Democrat Acting Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. But, Mountain Party candidate Bob Henry Baber says he's been wrongly left out of the debate. The debate sponsor says it's following longstanding policy by inviting just the Democrat and Republican nominees.
The Mountain Party's nominee for governor in 2004 and 2008, Jesse Johnson, unsuccessfully sued the association when he was excluded from its debates during those races. Baber is invited to debate Wednesday with Tomblin and Maloney in Wheeling with different sponsors. The special election is October 4th.
