One Firefighter Hurt in Late Night House Fire

SAINT ALBANS, W. Va. --- A firefighter is recovering from injuries suffered in a late night house fire in St. Albans on Monday.

The call about that fire came in just past 10 p.m. for a home in the 1000 block of College Circle.

The injured firefighter was hurt after falling through a second-floor landing and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The name and condition of the injured firefighter have not been released.

No one was at home at the time of the fire and the cause remains under investigation.

The home was destroyed by the fire.
