Inmate Sentenced

{Elkins, West Virginia}...Twenty-one year old Joseph Whitney Nomar, an inmate who admitted to spitting on an officer at the Huttonsville Correctional Center, has been sentenced to one year in prison on a charge of battery of a government official. The term will run concurrent with Nomar's current sentence. Nomar is eligible for parole in 2014 on a robbery charge. Nomar has since been transferred to the Mount Olive Correctional Center.
