Explosives Found In Kanawha County

{Chelyan, West Virginia}...State Police are attempting to track down the person or persons responsible for three sticks of a gel based dynamite found hidden in a bag along an underpass for the West Virginia Turnpike near Chelyan Monday. Troopers say a crew with the state Division of Highways found the explosives along Route 61, also known as Cabin Creek Road, in Kanawha County. Investigators say, at this point, they believe the explosives may have been stolen from another location and left beneath the underpass to be retrieved later. The explosives are said to be those typically used at mine sites.
