Mason County Principal Allegedly Abuses Student
{Point Pleasant, West Virginia}...Cameron Moffett, the principal of Point Pleasant Intermediate School, was arrested Friday after he allegedly grabbed, shoved and pinned an 11 year old boy on a school bus on March 21st. Police Chief Ernie Watterson says the boy was on a school bus and had been asked to either change seats or get off the bus, and, when the boy refused, Moffett was summoned. According to the complaint, Moffett put his hands on the boy's neck and shoulder and pulled him from a seat, then forced the boy onto the bus floor and pushed him down the bus aisle and the bus steps onto the school sidewalk. Once outside, Moffett allegedly held the boy down by putting a hand and knee on his back. Moffett appeared before Magistrate Roush Friday and was released on a $20,000 property bond. If convicted, he could face one to five years in prison.
