Kanawha County Man Arraigned On Murder And Arson

• {Charleston, West Virginia}...Charles Dannen Roberts, 38, of Alum Creek, was arraigned Wednesday on murder and arson charges. Roberts is accused of setting railroad ties on fire under a bridge near Sproul Road in Alum Creek in December. Davis Creek-Ruthdale VFD went to a bridge along Corridor G to locate the blaze. Alum Creek volunteer firefighter Joey King died after he fell from the bridge looking for the fire. Roberts pleaded not guilty, and his trial was set for July 11th.
