{Williamson, West Virginia}...Monday morning, Mingo County Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury sentenced 46 year old John Hayes to the maxium 40 years in prison after an earlier guilty plea to second-degree murder in the death of his wife's uncle, Robert Workman. Workman was reported missing on June 9, 2011. His body was found a few days later not far from his home in Beech Creek. Hayes turned himself in to police in Sweetwater, Tennessee a week after the murder, telling investigators what had happened and where the body could be found.
