Police Officer Faces Drug Charge

{Smithers, West Virginia}...A Glasgow police officer was arrested and charged Wednesday with felony drug possession with intent to deliver. Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler says 43 year old Officer Donald Scott Wills was in plain clothes when he came to a house in Smithers to purchase Oxycodone pills from an informant. Wills was under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, the West Virginia State Police and the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force, who set up surveillance on the home. Wills allegedly paid $30.00 for 30 pills and promised to pay the rest later. Wills was arrested outside a few minutes later. Police say Wills attempted to hide the pills by throwing them into a neighboring yard, but they were recovered. Sheriff Kessler says there are allegations that Wills previously purchased drugs while in uniform and driving a Glasgow police cruiser. He also says calls were made to Wills at the police department to set up the buys.
