Couple Charged With Scamming Elderly

{Elkins, West Virginia}...Elkins police have charged 40 year old Robert Dale Howell and his girlfriend, Shelia Diane Bertelli, with scamming at least six elderly residents. Howell is charged with fraudulent schemes, while Bertelli is charged with conspiracy and fraudulent schemes. Deputies say Howell allegedly made verbal agreements with the victims to do work and took their money, but he didn't finish the jobs. The Randolph County Sheriff's Department is investigating several other incidents in Mill Creek and Beverly.
