Boone County Accident Kills Elderly Man

• {Julian, West Virginia}...Boone County Sheriff Rodney Miller says 86 year old Elisha Moore of Ridgeview was pulling out of Camp Creek Road onto Corridor G, U.S. Route 119 near the Kuhn Juvenile Detention Center in Julian just after 9:00 A.M. Friday morning when investigators believe he accidentally pulled into the northbound lane when he intended to go south. Sheriff Miller says 52 year old Danny Riggs, of Crooksville, Ohio, the driver of an approaching pick-up truck didn't have time to stop and slammed into Moore's car. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in his car, Mary Eloise Hubbard, 81, of Ridgeview, was seriously injured and taken to Charleston Area Medical Center. Sheriff Miller says Riggs and a passenger were not injured, and charges will not be filed.
