Accused Sniper Waives Speedy Trial Rights

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Shawn Lester was in court Tuesday to waive his speedy trial rights after being charged with the 2003 Kanawha County sniper shooting deaths of Jeanie Patton, Gary Carrier Jr. and Okey Meadows Jr. Authorities arrested Lester on March 30th and charged him with Patton's death but had not linked him to the other two deaths until  later.  The trial was moved from March 5th to May 29th. Lester says he will seek to have the trial moved out of Charleston.
