Wheeling Grand Jury Indicts Doctor

{Wheeling, West Virginia}...U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld said Thursday that 45 year old Douglas P. Broderick, a doctor who ran cash-only pain clinics in Florida and South Carolina, was indicted by a grand jury in Wheeling on charges he supplied large quantities of drugs for no legitimate medical purpose. Ihlenfeld says some of Broderick's  customers were from the Ohio Valley and got their drugs after they returned to West Virginia and Ohio. If convicted, Broderick could get 20 years in prison. Prosecutors say the interstate conspiracy ran from February 2010 until this past March.
