Virginia Woman Pleads Not Guilty

{Wheeling, West Virginia}...Forty-eight year old Anita Ambler of Reva, Virginia has pleaded not guilty to charges she stole more than $1.2 million in horse racing funds from Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia while she worked as bookkeeper. Prosecutors say the thefts occurred between 2005 and 2010, but weren't discovered until an audit was conducted after Ambler quit. She had worked at the track since the 1990s. Jury selection for her trial is set for February 7th. Any proposed plea agreement must be submitted by January 31st.
