Charleston Teen Approaches Armored Brinks Truck

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Charleston Police say 18 year old Kieon Sharp wound up in police custody after he approached an armored Brinks truck at the BB&T Bank at 300 Summers St. in Charleston around 9:00 A.M,. Thursday morning. A Brinks truck was sitting in front of the bank with the driver inside while the driver's partner was inside the bank. The driver told police that a man had tapped on his door glass with a handgun, and he radioed to his partner to stay inside the bank. The suspect walked away from the truck. Emergency dispatchers broadcast a description of the suspect to area patrol units, and police located Sharp, who matched the general description, on Lee Street near the Clay Center and took him in for questioning. A police dog was used to look for a gun, but no weapon was found. After questioning Sharp, it was determined that he just wanted to ask the driver a question about his line of work, not rob him. Sharp had applied for a job at Brinks on Wednesday.
