Nitro Police Officer Improving

{Nitro, West Virginia}...Nitro Police Officer Jimmy Lee continues to improve after being hit by a car while directing traffic at the intersection of Cross Lanes Drive and 40th Street in Nitro on Thanksgiving. Lee underwent surgery after he suffered a fractured skull, a blood clot on his brain and severe blood loss. He was placed on a ventilator. Lee has been moved to a step-down unit and will be transferred to the Shepherd Center, a rehabilitation hospital in Atlanta, Georgia that specializes in spinal cord and brain injuries.
