Charleston Murder Trial Postponed

  • {Charleston, West Virginia}...Brandon Levert Gray, 19, of Charleston, was to go to trial Monday on a charge of first-degree murder, but the trial was postponed until February 13th. Gray's defense attorney said new evidence surfaced in December and he asked for time to review it. Gray was arrested for the fatal shooting of 29 year old Timothy Thompson whose body was found in a West Side alley near Stockton Street and First Avenue in June. Police found 10 text messages sent between Thompson and Gray just before the shooting indicating the two had planned a drug deal. Gray has denied having anything to do with the murder.
