Mercer County Man Sentenced


{Princeton, West Virginia}…Thirty-eight year old Andrae Cortez Simmons from Princeton, in Mercer County, was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison. Simmons admitted that, for several months before his arrest in February, he sold approximately 1,760 Oxymorphone pills, or "Opana," which are opiates, in Mercer County.The case is part of a larger investigation called the Bluefield Pill Initiative, a collaborative effort aimed at stopping prescription drug trafficking in Mercer, McDowell and Wyoming counties.
