Man Arrested After Chase

{Charleston, West Virginia}...Putnam County Sheriff's Detective Shawn Johnson says 34 year old James Galloway of Charleston entered a woman's Teays Farm home around 11:30 A.M. Thursday morning, and, when the woman started shooting at Galloway, he fled down the street on foot. Police say Galloway stole a Jeep Wrangler parked at the 7-Eleven along W.Va. 817 in Scott Depot. State Police Sgt. T.L. Berry of the South Charleston detachment later spotted the stolen vehicle parked near Laidley Field. Berry began patrolling and spotted Galloway at the Exxon on East Washington Street and pulled up beside him, but Galloway took off running down Greenbrier Street and then right onto Franklin Street. Berry followed and got out of the cruiser while ordering Galloway to stop. Berry tackled Galloway, who continued to resist arrest. Galloway was charged with grand larceny in Putnam County and obstructing an officer and fleeing in Kanawha County.
