Charleston Man Sentenced

{Charleston, West Virginia}…Kenneth Slater of Charleston was sentenced to a year in prison after he pleaded guilty to battery Friday. Slater admitted to punching 51 year old Robert Adkins outside a bar in South Charleston on Saint Patrick's Day. Slater said he punched Adkins because Adkins was "grabbing" his girlfriend. Adkins fell and hit his head on a sidewalk. He was found unconscious three days later in his home and later died.
