Mine Electrician Killed

{Rupert, West Virginia}…A mine electrician is dead after an accident at an Alpha Natural Resources mine in Greenbrier County. State officials say 27 year old Steven O’Dell of Mount Nebo was caught between a scoop and a continuous miner at the White Buck Pocahontas Mine near Rupert just before 1:30 A.M. Friday morning. O’Dell’s death is the sixth in a West Virginia coal mine this year.
