Voters Get Help

{Charleston, West Virginia}…Voting in West Virginia was difficult for some. Secretary of State Natalie Tennant says her office kept a close eye on election issues. Dunbar resident Bryce Casto was surprised when he went to cast his ballot and was told he had already voted on November 2nd. Casto, a teacher and football coach at Nitro High School, who said he didn’t participate in the early voting, was allowed to cast his vote. Some voters got a helping hand from the National Guard which set up tents in three polling places and provided generators to help provide power to five other areas of the state that were hardest hit by last week's storm. Hurricane Sandy knocked out power to hundreds of thousands, and ten polling places in Lewis, Preston, Randolph, Tucker and Upshur Counties were still in the dark, but polling places were switched to other locations.
