- {West Virginia}...Charleston Police are investigating a possible homicide after firefighters pulled a woman's body from the Elk River Saturday morning. The body was found floating in the river just behind the Women and Children's Hospital. Charleston police detectives say the body had been in the river for less than 12 hours. Police say the body is a white woman. Her body has been taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for a positive I.D. and cause of death.
